Private Museum Tours

The Savannah River Site Museum, located at 224 Laurens St., SW in Aiken, SC, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am - 2pm, depending on docent availability.

 

Visitors to Aiken's newest museum will have an opportunity to glimpse life beyond the fence in the historically-secret SRS and to learn about some of the fascinating accomplishments made at the Site.

Handicapped parking and access is available in the rear of the building and admission is free.

Ellenton Heritage Trail Tours

Stroll the streets of Historic Ellenton with the Savannah River Site Museum, and discover first hand what life was like before the Savannah River Plant was announced in November of 1950. 

 

In partnership with the Savannah River Archaeology Research Program and the Savannah River Site Cold War Curational Facility, the SRS Museum conducts guided public tours of the Ellenton Heritage Trail in accordance with a real estate agreement between the SRS Foundation and the Department of Energy. Tour attendees must be US citizens at least 16 years old with valid photo identification.
